III Congress: King's Mountain
We met, some for the first time and some knew each other from other events. It was a wonderful and patriotic group.
Alan led us through an excellent tour of the King's Mountain battlefield, and I commend to you all the story, for you will see many, many facets that have relevance for III Patriots today. Here is the wiki link to the story as a starting point.
I am personally proud that I have added several people to the list of those I am proud to have met.
Delegates: I will order a batch of III Congress tabs and send one to each Delegate in good standing. It'll be a month or so (usual turnaround) for them to make it to my shop, then I'll ship them out to you.
We all agreed that as a deliberative body our first official act should be a resolution that outlines our purpose and intent. Over the next week I will compile a list of Delegates and we will begin a private email thread so we can work on our first resolution, refine it, and then publish.
We also agree that a very important goal to achieve is to have at least one Delegate from each state, and we'd be very pleased with delegations of multiple members from each state.
We will need a formal structure, Patriots who will serve in important capacities to ensure the Congress evolves into the vibrant and effective entity we all want it to become. We will work on this in private, as well.
For now, I am proud that we had our first meeting, and every single person in attendance was a Patriot committed to genuine Liberty.
There was general agreement that another meeting should be held out west in the near future, in a place that will be convenient for our Patriots who live west of the Mississippi. For those of you who live in the western part of the country, please weigh in and offer suggestions for a location. Personally, I really enjoyed and appreciated the relevance of King's Mountain, and hope we can find an equally relevant location for our next meeting.
Thank you to everyone who made it, and to everyone who wanted to be there.
I am convinced the III Congress can make a difference.
Any Delegates who would like access to this blog so you may write posts, please send an email to me and I'll add you to the access list: Kerodin@Kerodin.com

III: April 19, 2013
Alan is familiar with King's Mountain and has taken point for getting us started on the 19th.
Muster Point: We'll meet at the Chronicle markers at the northeastern end of King's Mountain at 10:00am on April 19th. It is the start of the path around the mountain to the right of the bookstore/museum.
Alan will lead us on a tour of the battlefield and the significance of the story is relevant to us all in these days when America needs Her Patriots.
We can remain at the battlefield for a while and talk, then head to Charlotte for lunch. We can do this in small groups, as a single group, or everyone can go their own way.
Alan has suggested a restaurant named Ri' Ra' for us to meet for dinner, where we can continue our discussions and generally get to know one another.
Personally I have no agenda for the weekend, beyond meeting you and working with you to begin to flesh out the role of the Congress that we can take online to finalize with our Delegates who can't make the trip. This is a networking opportunity, a chance to build trust and add to our personal security by growing our network. Everyone should consider the floor to be open for any topic they wish to discuss.
Firearms: I do NOT know what firearms laws obtain and if you are planning to carry, figure it out.
Media: It is possible media may be there, so be prepared for that possibility.
Saturday Morning: We can discuss if people want to get together Saturday for breakfast. I will be getting on the highway Saturday by noonish.
If you are planning to attend, please leave a note on this thread. I know a few people have had to change plans, and no one should feel bad if life's realities are keeping you from attending.

III Congress
Please leave a comment on this thread and let us know if you will be at King's Mountain on April 19th.
Also let us know if you will be alone, +1, +2, whatever.
We need a final, realistic idea of how many intend to show up. Or is it better to keep our discussions and declaration online only.
Thank you all.

April 19th King's Mountain
Will you be there, or not?
The poll is at right. --->
Be honest, folks. Commit, one way or the other so we know the deal.
Right now I know people intend to travel from Florida, WV and DC.
That's a long trip and a lot of money that could be spent elsewhere, so if you intend to be there, stand up and let us know. If you can't make it, say it. No foul if you can't make it, but we need to know what to expect.
You are the Resistance.
Get it?
I will be there.

III on Drudge
We can capitalize on this press, if we are smart.
Are we?
More than 20 Delegates have joined the Congress, what should be our next step as we make plans to meet in April?

White House Petition
We are half way to forcing (by their own rules) to address the petition Craig submitted, challenging the premise of Gun Control. The response has been great for our community, but we need more.
Let's push and spread the link across your Facebook and Twitter accounts, and force the White House to either break its own rules and ignore us, or issue a response on the unconstitutional nature of NFA, GCA and all other 2A infringements.
Here's the link to the petition.
Here's the link to its author.

III Congress: It is time
It is time for the III Patriots in America to come together in a single place and hammer out a resolution.
Alan Mullinax of Florida has suggested Kings Mountain Battlefield. It has been suggested that April 19, 2013 is a suitable date.
I say to all Delegates: Please vote openly on this thread, Yea or Nay.
Also include in your comment if you will be able to attend in person. If not, we will try to have a couple of our IT savvy Delegates set up the ability to be interactive online.
I think the purpose of the first Convention should be to mark that we, the III Patriots alive today, find it necessary to meet and to let the rest of the republic know that we have left our homes due to the grave crises facing the republic that require our attention, and our direct action.
So when you comment, please include answers to several points:
Will you attend in person:
Will you attend Armed in accord with the laws in effect:
Will you be prepared to debate a resolution to formally mobilize the III Percent Patriots in America:

Good job to Craig for taking point! Craig is proving that the Delegates of the III Congress mean to be relevant to the national discussion.
Show your support by signing: Here.
Sign and support not only a fellow III Patriot who took point on our behlaves, but also your support for the III, the III Congress, and our Natural Rights.

III Congress & 2A March
I suspect, given the Members of the Congress who have stepped forward, that a 2A March as being discussed at TL's blog would be supported by the III Congress in general.
Personally, my sentiments run with those of Alan Mullinax. Suicide and Martyrdom are not on my bucket list.
So I look forward to someone taking point and beginning to put down hard details. Is there to be a single muster point or several? Is there to be a single route, with local feeders? Is there to be a single destination, and where is it? When?
Drop by TL's place where the conversation is taking place, here. Add your two cents or step up and take point.
Regarding this III Congress site: Delegates in good standing who would like access to write posts, let me know and I will make certain you have access. I have only one rule: This blogspot account is my personal account, so do me the favor of not writing anything that will get my dogs shot in the middle of a no-knock.
Let's please make this a genuine Congress where delegates come forward and offer their opinions, suggestions, and more. A Congress with a single writer is not really a Congress.

2A March
TL and others are calling for another armed march to remind those who would be Masters that 2A is a Natural Right.
Here's TL's piece.
